Japan's Cherryblossom
Japan's cherry blossoms, or sakura, are iconic pink and white flowers symbolizing the beautiful but fleeting nature of life, celebrated annually during the spring hanami (flower-viewing) festivals from late March to early May as the blossoms appear across the country from south to north. These blossoms, primarily the pale pink Somei-Yoshino variety, are deeply woven into Japanese culture, art, and philosophy, representing renewal, transience, and hope, with people gathering under the trees for parties and reflection.
